‘‘To save the photographer money, on the day of the shoot members of the Roc-A-Fella crew picked up Jamil from his Alphabet City apartment and drove him in Jay’s champagne Lexus GS down to the rapper’s crib at 560 State Street in Brooklyn. That vehicle and a black Lexus GS were later used as props in a shoot near The River Café under the Brooklyn Bridge, with a custom-made “JAY-Z” vanity plate stuck on with gaffer tape and bottles of Cristal placed strategically in the windshield.’’
