Sunny (b. 1998) lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Sunny works primarily with painting, using materials such as oil, acrylic, watercolour and coloured pencil. His works are built through numerous thin layers, gradually developing their surfaces through colour, texture and repetition.

The paintings often balance between flatness and depth. Layers are built up slowly, creating surfaces that can appear simple and flat at first, while revealing a greater sense of depth and detail on closer inspection.

Sunny’s work is rooted in an interest in everyday subjects, forms and environments, which are simplified and reworked through colour and composition. The paintings are developed slowly, often with several works progressing alongside one another.
